Biography of Brian Edwards

Undersheriff Brian Edwards is a life-long resident of Tulsa and has devoted twenty-four years to the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office. His educational background includes graduation from Memorial High School, a Masters of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Langston University. He is a graduate from the 219th Section of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy, the Southwestern Law Enforcement Institute and the Leadership Tulsa Class XVIII as well as specialized training schools. He donates his time to the Boy Scouts of America and other non-profit organizations. Undersheriff Edwards began his career at the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office under the leadership of Sheriff Dave Faulkner and has worked in every division of the Sheriff’s Office during his career. He was the original supervisor of the first Gangs Intervention Team in Tulsa and instrumental in developing the Tulsa County Reserve Program, and implemented the first drivers training program for deputies. Undersheriff Edwards is an expert on carnival fraud investigation. He oversees the daily operations of the Sheriff’s Office. Even though his work is demanding, Brian still finds time for his family. He is married with four children. They are involved in church and spend time at the lake relaxing and enjoying water sports.
