Biography of Chief Deputy Tim Albin, Detention Division

Chief Deputy Tim Albin has been a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, since 1977 and employed with the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office for sixteen years. He attended the University Central Oklahoma, in Edmond, Oklahoma, and received an Associate of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from El Reno Oklahoma Junior College and a Bachelor of Science in Management and Ethics from Mid American Christian University. Chief Albin has been married to his wife Gayle since 1976, and they are the parents of two boys, ages 22 and 28. In his spare time he loves to fly and has acquired his Private and Commercial Pilot licenses. Chief Albin was the Former SWAT Commander for the Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Team and graduated from the National Tactical Officers Training. He was one of the first generation of D.A.R.E. Officers in the State of Oklahoma. He supervised the Sheriff’s Office Reserves Unit for several years and currently oversees the daily operations of the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center. Chief Albin is an Adjunct Instructor for the Tulsa Technology Center, Texas A&M Law Enforcement Training Division and Southwest Missouri Southern University. He is a member of the Oklahoma Sheriff’s Association and the National Sheriff’s Association and a host of other professional associations.
